Lifetime Quilt Paintings Series

This series of paintings evolved from my thoughts about quilts…specifically, being part of our lives from birth to death and even beyond. My quilt paintings often become “quilt landscapes”. In this series each painting eludes to a time of the day, a quilt, which becomes the landscape, and hands representing a “time in the span of life”. A newborn would be represented by sunrise, a teenager by mid morning, and my elderly Mother-in-law holding one of her favorite quilts in her lap at sunset.

This series is dedicated to all those who spend hours of love, patience and just plain hard work creating quilts of every kind. Some are made to sell but most are assembled to give warmth and comfort to those they love and also those with greatest need.
